In 2012, friends of CAMME living in the United States founded CAMME USA, an American 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. CAMME USA’s mission is threefold: to raise awareness of the challenges facing youth in the Democratic Republic of Congo, promote high-quality education in this context, support CAMME and other local partners in the Democratic Republic of Congo and wider Great Lakes region of Africa that work to improve the physical, educational, and social situation of orphaned, abandoned and neglected children. Through grants to local partners and rigorous oversight of projects and organizations supported by CAMME USA’s funding, we provide an effective and safe opportunity for individuals and communities in the US to support people in a region devastated by ongoing conflict and natural disaster.
Donations to CAMME USA are tax-deductible to the full extent of American law, and may be deductible in your country if you live outside the United States. CAMME USA rigorously accounts for all contributions, and financial or in-kind contributions will receive an acknowledgment and receipt that they may be able to use for tax purposes under the laws of their respective country.
